Scott, Glennie Brazeel Stanford
was born in Seymour, Texas on August 26, 1916 to James and Arrie Brazeel. She passed away on August 5, 2014 in Litchfield Park, AZ. She is preceeded in death by Jack Stanford (husband), Matthew Scott (husband), her daughter Elizabeth Wright and a stepson Joel Scott. Glennie is survived by her daughter, Barbara Hegarty, step daughters Margaret, Pat, Marion, Ceceilia, and Teresa, 2 grandchildren (Jack & Sheila), 6 great grandchildren (Cody, Moira, Colin, Liam ,Gena & Hugh), numerous nieces and nephews as well as a great niece, Lynn Page and great nephew Danny Shipley. Glennie grew up in Yuma, AZ and graduated from Yuma High School (where she participated in several varsity sports) before settling in Phoenix. She was an avid and successful golfer. After several years with the IRS Glennie spent several decades managing the RONS Club in Phoenix. After retiring Glennie turned her energies to volunteer work with the Saint Vincent de Paul Society. She was actively involved with SVDP for over thirty years. She touched many lives with her time, dedication and talents. She was honored with the All Star Volunteer Award in 2004. A funeral Mass will be at 9:00 am, Saturday August 9, 2014 at St. Mary's Basilica, 231 N. 3rd St., Phoenix, AZ. Interment to follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn, Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to The Saint Vincent de Paul Society
