Aberdeen - Funeral service for Elizabeth "Lisa" Rempher, 52, of Aberdeen will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary, 414 5th Ave. N.W., Aberdeen. Rev. Gregory Tschakert will officiate. Cremation will follow the service and placement of her urn will be at Sunset Memorial Mausoleum, Aberdeen. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 20, 2003, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Wednesday 9 a.m. till the time of the service, all at Schriver's Memorial Mortuary. Lisa passed away Friday, May 16, 2003, at her home.
Elizabeth McQuillen was born October 13, 1950, to Cliff and Gail (Klug) McQuillen at Aberdeen, where she was raised and graduated from Aberdeen Central High School in 1968. She attended Northern State University and graduated with a degree in Elementary Teaching in 1974. She taught 2nd grade at Timber Lake.
Lisa married Aaron Rempher July 5, 1975, at Aberdeen. Lisa loved children and wanted to be a part of shaping their lives through teaching. After her career in teaching, Lisa raised a family of her own instilling love, happiness and optimism. She exhibited happiness throughout her life. Her smiling face and sense of humor will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Aaron of Aberdeen; her mother, Gail McQuillen, of Aberdeen; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Arthur and Alma Rempher of Pierre; one son Anthony "Tony" Rempher of Aberdeen; one daughter, Sara Rempher of Pueblo, Colo.; one stepdaughter, Chelsie McKay of Aberdeen; five brothers, James (Maggie) McQuillen of San Jose, Calif., Dave (Nancy) McQuillen of Aberdeen, Gordon (Linda) McQuillen of Madison, Wis., Bill (Ev) McQuillen of The Woodlands, Texas, and Daniel McQuillen of Sioux Falls; two sisters, Susan (Neville) Bambrick of Australia and Jean (Bill) Deline of Aberdeen; and two grandsons, Austin McKay and Nathan McKay.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Marie Peterson.
