Cherished Wife, Mother, Sister, Sister-in-Law, Nana, Tia, and Friend. Angie Garcia, 83, of Visalia, California. She was called home on January 7, 2024.
She was born on May 27, 1940, to Nellie and John Reynoso who proceeded her in death. Also proceeded in death by her beloved husband Lucio J Garcia Sr., son Lucio Garcia Jr., siblings Johnny Reynoso Jr., Richard Reynoso, Rudy Reynoso, and Alice Reynoso. Grandson Raymond Garcia. Angie was a caring, honest, and loving person.
Angie is survived by her daughters Nellie Garcia and Christina Garcia-Avina. She is also survived by her siblings Robert Reynoso, Mary Baiza, and Gloria Ford. As well as her in-laws Mana Aranivas, Patsy Resa, and Val Garcia. Angie leaves behind a legacy of love and family, including her grandchildren Brian Pedrosa, Irene Garcia, Richard Garcia, Marie Ramirez, Ruben Ramirez, Rachel Ramirez, Johnny Ramirez, and Annette Avina. She was also blessed with 22 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Angie started dating Lucio when she was in high school. They were married on March 2, 1959. Purchased their first home on Court St. In 1966 they moved to Prospect Ave where they lived their final days. They loved and respected each other tremendously during 59 years of marriage.
Angie was diagnosed with Kidney cancer over 20 years ago. Although she was in remission for over 10 years it returned. She battled her cancer with courage and determination. Refusing to let it control her life. She faced it with faith and optimism. Mom was a true inspiration.
Angie dedicated over 30 years of her life as a self-employed housekeeper. Building a strong bond with her clients, whom she considers friends. She had a passion for sewing, which she taught herself at a young age. This led to a successful career as a Seamstress.
In her free time, Angie enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and knitting. These hobbies brought her joy and allowed her to express creativity.
Angie Garcia will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her caring nature, courage, and honesty will be remembered and cherished by all who were touched by her presence. May she rest in peace
Visitation will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, January 28th, 2024 at Salser & Dillard Funeral Chapel, 127 E. Caldwell Ave., Visalia. Rosary will follow at 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial services will be held 10:30 AM Monday, January 29th, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 608 N. Church Street, Visalia. Graveside services will be held 12:00 PM Monday, January 29th, 2024 at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W Goshen Ave, Visalia.
