She found purpose in helping grieving families during her time at Collinsville Funeral Home, where her compassionate nature touched the lives of many. Candi's commitment to her work brought comfort to countless individuals during their most difficult times. Candi enjoyed indulging in her artistic talents. She delighted in calligraphy and art drawing, skillfully crafting beautiful letters and words. Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. This scripture served as a guiding light in her life, reminding her of God's presence in every circumstance. Candi was a devoted pastors wife and was a member of Sarepta Baptist Church.
She leaves behind her husband, Terrance Barnhill of Pontotoc; Maci Faith (Tyler) Anthony of Sylvania, AL; sister, Debbie Craft of Fort Payne, AL; three brothers: Bobby Nix of Fort Payne, AL; Jerry (Cynthia) Nix of Fort Payne, AL; Terry Nix of Piedmont, AL.
Candi is preceded in death by her parents, Jess Leonard Nix and Betty Watkins Nix; sister, Lynn Hendrix.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 03, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Charity Baptist Church in Pontotoc. The funeral service honoring Candi's life will take place on Saturday, February 03, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. in the sanctuary of Charity Baptist Church with Bro. J.T. Pennington and Bro. Kevin Merritt officiating. B.J. Farmer, Cooper Knight, Larry Martin, Daniel Nix, David Nix, Jeremy Nix, and Johnny Wilder will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Sarepta Cemetery.
