James B., 66 years, of 2586 Christensen Ave., died April 4 in Dallas, Texas while on vacation.
He was a native of Smithville, Tenn. A resident of Akron 46 years. He retired from Firestone as a tire inspector after 36 years of service. He was retired 2 years.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret H.; son, James of Uniontown, O.; daughters, Judy Taylor, and Peggy Sawyers, both of Akron; mother, Mrs. Odell Lawson, of Dallas Texas; brothers, Izell, T. O., and Billy Joe of Dallas, Texas, and Rev. T. E. Lawson, of Urbana, O.; sisters, Mrs. Vernon Marchant, Mrs. Lamoine Peterson, of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Dan Roper, of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Howard Hersbergen of Knoxville, Iowa; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
He was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple, Firestone Twenty-year Club, Firestone Local 7, URWA.
Calling hours TODAY 2-7 p.m. at the Schlup Funeral Chapel, Kenmore Blvd. at 8th St. Services Monday 2 p.m. at the Akron Baptist Temple where friends may call from noon until service time with Dr. James D. Moore officiating. Burial Greenlawn Memorial Park, (Schlup, 745-3131.).
