She was born in Smithville, Tenn., and was a resident of Akron and Barberton for most of her life. She was a member of The Chapel on Fir Hill, retired from O'Neil's Department Store, and was a member of Tamarac Garden Club and O'Neil's Grandmother Club.
Preceded in death by husband, James B. Lawson, son, James N. Lawson, granddaughter, Tonya L. Taylor, sister, Gladys Ikard, she is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Peggy and William Sawyers of Florida, and Judy Taylor of Barberton; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside service Friday, 11 a.m., at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pastor Eloy Pacheco officiating.
