Helen Wild Robinson, age 88, of New Haven, loving wife of Fred C. Robinson, Professor of English at Yale, passed away December 29, 2022. She was born in New York City on October 6, 1934, daughter of Joseph and Anna Eppler Wild. The family moved to a farm in Delaware when she was 11. Helen earned a BA from Bridgewater College in Virginia, and an MA from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she met her husband. They lived at Stanford University and Cornell before coming to Yale in 1972. After receiving an MS in Library Science at Southern Connecticut State University, Helen taught at Shepherd Glen School in Hamden where she was a media specialist.

Helen is survived by her children and their spouses, Lisa Karen Robinson (Steve Dunkley), Eric Wild Robinson (Carwina Weng) and four grandchildren. She is also survived by four younger sisters, Doris Zumwalt, Marilyn Diener, Karen Hobbins, and Maureen Wild. In addition to being an avid reader, Helen loved to attend Yale musical performances, go on walks and hikes with friends and family (especially in Stinson Beach, California), and read to her grandchildren.
