BEVERLY J. WASHINGTON — PIEDMONT — Beverly Jean (Price) Washington, 81, of Piedmont, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024. She was born on September 25, 1942, in Piedmont, the daughter of the late Davis and Annie (Addison) Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Frederick H. Washington, Jr., Brian Price, and Todd Muse; three sisters, Ida Twyman, Margaret Thompson, and Mary Cromer; and one brother, Clifton "Buddy" Green.

She is survived by her husband, Frederick H. Washington, Sr.; a daughter, Tina (Washington) Pearsall and husband Derwin; a son, Todd Washington; three sisters, Virginia Demeritt, Virgie Redman, and Phyllis Hooker; fourteen grandchildren, Jessica Taylor, Christopher Robinette, Tre Davis, Ayana Pearsall, Kayden Truesdail, Jaiden Washington, Jurnee Price, Frederick H. Washington III, Thierry Washington, Tristan Washington, Shea Muse, Trenton Muse, Travis Muse and Mikey Helmick; eleven great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be dearly missed by best friends, Dorene Allen and Glenna Blye, friends, church members, neighbors & other acquaintances.

"Bev" was a loving and wonderful mother and "MaMa". She was a devoted member of the Piedmont Church of God, Pastor Lamar Wheeler. She was the Bible Study and Bible Band President, a member of the Mothers Board and the Youth Board. She was also President of the Trustee Board and was a very willing worker wherever she was needed. A 1961 graduate of Piedmont High School, she participated in many clubs and activities. Her class has remained close through the years. Beverly was a nursing assistant who spent 28 years at Potomac Valley Hospital. She also engaged in private-duty nursing after her retirement from the hospital.

Friends will be received at the Fredlock Funeral Home, 31 Jones St., Piedmont, on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 6 to 8 PM and on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Piedmont at which time a funeral service will be held with the Apostle R. Darin Allen and Pastor Lamar Wheeler officiating.

Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens in Keyser, WV.
