IDA P. TWYMAN — PIEDMONT — Ida Pearl Twyman, 73, of Lyons Street, Piedmont, W.Va., died Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser.

Born on April 10, 1929, in Piedmont, she was a daughter of the late Davis C. Price and Annie Elizabeth (Addison) Price. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas I. Twyman, on Aug. 25, 1984; three step-sons, Edward Twyman, John Twyman and Ronald Twyman, and two step-daughters, Catherine Davis and Theresa Johnson.

Mrs. Twyman was a member of the Waldon Methodist Church and the Church Mothers and the Superintendent of the Sunday School. She loved to cook for her family and friends.

Surviving are two daughters, Amanda L. Barnett and Annie E. Twyman; one son, Steven C. Twyman, all of Piedmont; one step-daughter, Lilly McCray, of Piedmont; 22 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren, and six sisters, Margret Thompson, of Piedmont; Mary Cromer, of Baltimore, Md.; Virginia Bemerritt, of White Plains, N.Y., and Virgie Redman of Phyllis Hooker and Beverly Washington, all of Piedmont, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Fredrick Funeral Home in Piedmont on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church with Pastor Elizabeth Allen-Villinger officiating.

Interment will be in Thorn Rose Hill Cemetery in Keyser.
