He attended High School in Ordervilie, then enlisted in the Air Force near the end of World War II. After an honorable discharge he met and married Julia Clorene Roundy on July 15, 1954, in the St. George Temple. For most of his life Errol was a professional truck driver for Kaibab Industries in Fredonia, Ariz. He was active in the LDS Church acting as Sunday School superintendent, ward records clerk to five bishops, and spending many years in the genealogy library.
Errol was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. Throughout his life he was always serving them and others. Survivors include his wife: Clorene of Fredonia; children: RaJan (Joe) Meiner of Peoria, Julie (Ed) Hawkins of Blanding, Utah, Suzie (Terry) Clark of Henrieville, Utah, Charrena (Bill) Barton of St. George, Utah, Carlon (Kirsten) Hoyt of Cedar City, Utah, and Kelly (Lisa) Hoyt of Ivins, Utah; brothers and sisters: Thomas Hoyt of Fredonia, Bruce Hoyt of Utah, Willard (Francis) Hoyt of Merced, Alena (Frank) Okamura of Mesquite, LaVee (George. Glen) Bibby of Las Vegas, and RaNell (Richard) Seward of Portland, sisters-in-law: Wana Hoyt of Ordervilie, Utah, and Elaine Hoyt of Glendale, Utah; and 18 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Josiah, Vern, Orson, Lamond, Rollan, and Dilworth; and sister-in-law: Joyce Hoyt. Friends and family may attend a viewing Monday, April 10, 2000, from a.m. (Utah time) at the Fredonia Ward Chapel, which will be followed by funeral services at noon (Utah time). Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. (Utah time) in the Alton Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary.
