Mrs. Elaine Leverett Patrick, 82, of Barnesville, died Wednesday, April 16, at her home. She was a native of Jasper County, but had made her home in Barnesville.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Barnesville. Rev. Garth Forster officiated, burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Barnesville.

Mrs. Patrick was the daughter of the late Hulon Pennington Leverett, Sr., and the late Mrs. Minnie Mae Chaffin Leverett. She was retired from the federal government as a clerk for the Agricultural Stabilization & Conservation Services (ASCS). She was a member of the Barnesville Women's League and the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Franklin Edward Patrick, Sr. of Barnesville; two sons, Edward Patrick of Savannah and Hugh L. Patrick of Barnesville; two daughters, Gail P. Rooks of Barnesville and Linda Patrick of McDonough; one brother, Wayne Leverett of Spring Lake, N.J.; five grandchildren, Heather Metcalf, Wilson Patrick, Jason Dixon, Tim Rooks, and Ryan Rooks, and four great-grandchildren.
