George Berry Kirby was born December 15, 1882 in Moulton, Lawrence County, Alabama to William Andrew Jackson "Andy" Kirby, Sr. and Rachel Frances Harvel Kirby.

Mr. Kirby was a resident of Route 2, Hartselle, Morgan County, Alabama. He married Essie Lee Proctor, a daughter to William Proctor and Hattie Mae Cagle Proctor. He preceded his wife in death on his 56th birthday.

The funeral services at Johnson Chapel Cemetery were held for him on Friday, December 17, 1937.

G. B. KIRBY IS CALLED HOME

G. B. Kirby, prominent resident of Hartselle Route two, succumbed at three o'clock Wednesday afternoon following an extended illness. He was 56 years of age.

Mr. Kirby is survived by his wife; six sons, Carl, P. K., Forest, Orville, Floyd and Otto; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Lowery and Misses Irene and Eva Kirby; 13 grandchildren; four brothers, Lee, Roland, Monroe and Edison; two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Martin and Mrs. Mattie Puckett.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Drinkard and Howell.
