His later film credits would include such titles as "Robbery," "Before Winter Comes," "Waterloo," "A Clockwork Orange," "Gandhi," "Hudson Hawk," "Tom & Viv," and "Loch Ness." In 1966, he made his television debut on the series "Redcap." Besides "Coronation Street," he went on to appear in such television series as "Nearest and Dearest," "Manhunt," "Tightrope," "Crown Court," "1990," "Yes Minister," and "Parnell & The Englishwoman."
