COMMITTED SUICIDE
Word reached town Friday afternoon that a woman named Justine Allec, who had been employed as cook at the ranch of Frank Espitoflier, had committed suicide. The coroner was at once notified. An examination proved that deceased had taken a dose of strychnine with suicidal intent. It is thought the cause for the rash act was despondency over news of the death of her two brothers, who were killed in battle recently. They were members of a French regiment.
The funeral was held Sunday from the undertaking rooms of E.D. Whitman, of Soda Springs, and the body was interred in Fairview cemetery.
