Charles Moschetto, 72, of 350 Madison Avenue, Wrigley Park, NJ, died on Monday, July 18, 1966 at the Veterans Hospital in East Orange. He was born in Sicily and had lived in Paterson since 1915. Charles was a charter member and former president of Paterson Chapter 855 Master Barbers Association. Until his illness, he operated a hair-styling shop with his son at 446 Broadway. Charles was a World War I Army veteran serving in the 82nd Division of the 328 Infantry wearing the same outfit as Sergeant Alvin York in the Meuse sector, Saint Mihiel Verdun, and in the Argonne Forest where he was wounded and received the purple heart. He received a citation from President Woodrow Wilson because of saving the life of a fellow soldier. Charles was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church and Alexander Hamilton Post 139 VFW, both in Paterson. Beloved husband of the late Rosina (nee Zisa) Moschetto. Devoted father of Gloria (Joseph) Kovalik of East Paterson and Charles Moschetto Jr. of Clifton. Loving grandfather of Karen, Barbara and Charles. Dear brother of Frank Moschetto of Paterson. Visitation was offered on Tuesday, July 19, 1966 and Wednesday, July 20, 1966 from 2-5 and 7-10 PM at the Bizub Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07011. The funeral was arranged in the funeral home on Thursday, July 21, 1966 at 8:45 AM followed by a solemn requiem mass conducted at 9:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 308 6th Avenue, Wrigley Park, NJ 07524. Interment followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Totowa.
