Andrew Backa Dies
Had been sick three weeks with peritonitis
Andrew Backa, after an illness of three weeks with peritonitis died last night at his late home, 1512 Union St.
Mr Backa was born in August 1882 in Austria-Hungary and came to the United States seven years ago. On Sept. 8, 1903, he was married in this city to Mary Kolesar, who, with one child, survives the deceased.
Mr Backa is also survived by a brother and sister in Streator and by his mother and a sister in the old country. He was a member of St. Clement's Society.
The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at nine o'clock, services at the Slavish Catholic church and interment in the Slavish Cemetery.
