GLENVILLE, Minn. Mrs. Ilah D. Hillman, 75, died Saturday (April 18, 1998) at North Iowa Mercy Health Center West in Mason City. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Shell Rock Lutheran Church, Northwood, with the Rev. Alf Merseth officiating. Interment will be in North Shell Rock Cemetery in Northwood. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Conner Colonial Chapel in Northwood, and will continue from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel, and one hour prior to services at the church. The family suggests memorials to the Ilah D. Hillman memorial fund. Ilah was born July 26, 1922, in Northwood, the daughter of Gay and Valborg (Odden) Lum. She graduated from Northwood High School in 1940. Ilah married Klinerd Christianson on Dec. 21, 1940, and they farmed in the Northwood area. She later married Dale Hillman on May 16, 1963. They lived in Glenville, Minn. Ilah enjoyed reading, playing cards, flowers and especially her children and grandchildren. She was a member of First Shell Rock Lutheran Church in Northwood. Ilah is survived by six children, Gary Christianson and his wife, Maryanne, of Northwood, Leonard Christianson, of North-wood, Howard Christianson, of Sunnyvale, Calif, Claire Christianson and his wife, Mary, of Northwood, Cheryl Henriksen and her husband, Scott, of Glenville, and Cathy Kingstrom of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandmother of 13; great-grandmother of eight; and sister Harriet Mork, of Dresser, Wis. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother-in-law, Lloyd Mork, and one daughter-in-law, Donna Christianson.
