Parent's names to be added later. My grandmother,the wife of Lora Harrison Shelburn, she was the mother of Bradford O. Shelburn and Wanda May Shelburn Kirby. Although she was not the actual birth mother of Bradford, his mother having passed away during the Spanish Flu Epidemic, she raised him as her own son, and was always our grandmother. A precious soul, a dedicated Christian since the age of 13, devoted member of the first Church of the Nazarene, Pittsburg, Ks. Grandmother of five, Linda and Peggy Shelburn, Mary Kay, Lois and Bill Kirby. Great grandmother of thirteen.
Services were held at the First Church of the Nazarene in Pittsburg, Kansas on Feb. 10, 1999, the Rev. James Sukraw officiating. Soloists were Esther and Larry Thornburg, who sang her favorite hymn, "I'd Rather Have Jesus". Violinist was her great-granddaughter, LaTisha LeVaugh. Pallbearers were her Great-grandsons, Scott McKee, Patrick McKee, Kulley LeVaugh, Sean Kirby, Trevor Kirby and Zachery Kirby.
She was born in Elmira, Illinois and died in Pittsburg, Ks.
