Lois Armstrong Bain 92 of Vivian, LA passed away Sunday April 18, 2010 at Atlanta Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Bethsaida Cemetery in Ida, LA officiated by Rev. Richard Beeman. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday the 20th from 6-8 PM at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA.
Mrs. Bain was born October 29, 1917 in Ida and lived in Vivian for the past 50 years. She was a member of the Ida Baptist Church and a member of the Lydia Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church, Vivian. She was a devoted mother, she loved her family and she was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Mrs. Bain was preceded in death by her husband Roy C. Bain Sr., her sisters; Lavinia Murphy, Laura Herring, and her brothers; Allen Armstrong and Lee Armstrong.
She is survived by her children; Roy Cecil Bain Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA and Sally Martin of Vivian, LA, her sisters; Katherine Anton and Dollie Snell and her brothers; Ford Armstrong and I.C. Armstrong. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
