Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late George McNally and Eloise Hite McNally. Formerly of Silver Spring, Md., she moved to Ocean Pines in 2000.
Mrs. Barry had been director of human resources for Sterner and Klein of Rockville, Md. She was a former co-chairperson of the Washington St. Patrick's Day parade. She was a member of the Black Thorn Stick Ceili Dancers, St. John Neumann Catholic Church, the Delmarva Irish American Club and the Democratic Women's Club. She was a former correspondent for the Irish American Newspaper.
She is survived by her beloved husband, John Patrick Barry; three stepsons, Eamon Barry of Silver Spring, Sean P. Barry and his wife, Michelle, of Preston and Kevin F. Barry and his wife, Louise, of Burtonsville, Md.; two stepdaughters, Margaret Mary McLemore and her husband, Brian, of Trenton, N.J., and Kathleen Theresa Barry of Ocean Pines; eight grandchildren; one brother, George Thomas "Tom" McNally and his wife, Yvonne, of Pinehurst, N.C.; one niece, Kelly McNally; one nephew, Kevin McNally; one sister-in-law, Joan Harriss and her husband, Mike, of Chicago; and one brother-in-law, Eamon Barry and his wife, Anne, of Dublin, Ireland.
