Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Martin; grrandson, Corey Martin, both of Weaverville, NC; her father, Francis "Buck" Jarvis, Elkin, NC; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce & Judi Jarvis, Marion, NC; nephews, Matthew Jarvis & Greg Boone; niece, Andrea Beams; former husband, James Hembree. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby (Gough) Jarvis.
Mrs. Hembree was a 1960 graduate of Jonesville High School, and East Carolina University, where she obtained her degree in primary education. She was a retired teacher from the Buncombe County school system, and a member of the Morning Star Moravian Church in Asheville, NC. She resided in Weaverville, NC.
Graveside services were conducted Saturday, October 15, 2005.
