Alexander Cockburn (Pronounced Coburn) was born October 23, 1862 at Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland to his parents, William (1820-1889) and Helen (Law)(1820-1887) Cockburn.


He emigrated to Canada in 1882, on SS Buenos Ayrean, sailing from Glasgow, and arriving Quebec June 19, 1883.

Occupation: Joiner, destination: Winnipeg, Canada.


He married Miss Margaret 'Maggie' McGregor, the daughter of Alexander and Mary Jane (Gray) McGregor on March 1, 1888 in Toronto, Ontario.


Alexander passed away March 8, 1943 at Toronto, Ontario.
