Agnes Padgett Wooton, 63, of the Plateau community of Cumberland County, passed away Nov. 21, 2003. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Goff Funeral Home. The Rev. Edward Todd will officiate, with interment to follow in the Rinnie Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Goff Funeral Home Tuesday, Nov. 25, 5-8 p.m.
Mrs. Wooton was born Dec. 22, 1939 in Muddy Pond, TN, the daughter of A.G. Padgett and Avo Todd Padgett.
She had retired from the North College Hill school district in Cincinnati, OH and was also a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Burtis Wooton of the Plateau community; daughter, Pamela Lou Benton of Miamisburg, OH; sons, Burtis Anthony Wooton of the Plateau community, Timothy T. Wooton of Fairfield, OH and Tracy D. Wooton of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Alyssa, T.J., Levi and Erin; mother, Avo Todd Padgett of Celina, OH; sisters, Ruth Vaughn of Monterey, Ada Masters of Mayland, Mary Vaughn of Smyrna, Darlene Hunt of Portland, IN, Patricia Brosher of Celina, OH and Ethel Lester of Yorktown, OH; and brothers, R.T. Padgett of Crossville, Roy Padgett of Dunkirk, IN, Don Padgett of Bluffton, IN, Millard Padgett of Mt. Airy, NC, Sam Padgett of Celina, OH, John Padgett of Muncie IN, David Padgett of Mt. Airy, NC and Jimmy Padgett of Dunkirk, IN.
She was preceded in death by her father, A.G. Padgett; brothers, A.G. Padgett Jr. and Lee Padgett; and twin sisters, Ella and Della Padgett.
