Phyllis Ruth Blakeley was appointed as the Provincial Archivist for Nova Scotia in 1982 and was the first woman to hold that position.


Her parents were Cecil Pearson Blakeley and Clara Amanda McLearn.

5. George McLearn. Born Aug. 5, 1831 died at South Rawdon Nov. 16, 1855. George Dimock McLearn aged 22 years, son of Hugh McLearn. (Newspaper of October 27th, 1855, has notice from J. Bancroft, written at Rawdon, Sept. 27, 1853 with a long obituary about George, who died of asthma, with may details of his sufferings and his religious experiences.)
