MILITARY HONORS FOR LATE VETERAN.

Morgan Dowling Served in Spanish-American War; Resided Here 50 Years.

Military funeral services will be held for Morgan Dowling of 32 Taylor Street, veteran of the Spanish-American war, who died last night at the Veterans hospital at Rocky Hill.


A resident of the city for the past 50 years, he was employed at the Scovill Mfg. Co. up to the time of his illness, and was a charter member of the Foremen's Association.


The funeral will be held Saturday at 8:15 a.m. from the Mulville Funeral Home, 270 West Main Street, to the Sacred Heart Church where a solemn high Mass will be celebrated at 9 o'clock. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.


Mr. Dowling, the son of the late Bryan and Bridget Dowling, was born in Ireland. He had been a resident of the East End section since he came to Waterbury and was a communicant of the Sacred Heart Church.


Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Josephine Sheehy Dowling; three sons, Bernard, John and James, all of Waterbury; two daughters, Mrs. John Wolfe, Waterbury and Mrs. Beatrice Martino, New York; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Neville and Miss Bridget Dowling, both of Waterbury; another sister and a brother in Ireland; four grandchildren.


Members of the Spanish-American War Veterans will meet for services at the Mulville Funeral Home at 7:45 tomorrow evening.
