Mrs Madeleine (Cormier) Martin of Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska died at Edmundston Regional Hospital on September 6, 2019, at the age of 75 years and 11 months,
She was the wife of Paul R. Martin for 60 years.
In addition to her husband, she left behind in mourning 3 of her 4 children, Marie-Paule Plourde (Gilles) of Edmundston, Mario Martin (Lise Michaud) of St-André, and Luc Martin (Ann Côté) of Grand-Sault; 5 grandchildren, Caroline, Pier-Luc, Jennifer, Alexis, and Lucie; 4 brothers, René Cormier (late wife, Élizabeth) of Campbellton, Donat Cormier (Donna) of Niagara Falls, Gérard Cormier (late wife, Aline) of Niagara Falls; and a sister, Rita Bélanger (late husband, Lionel) of Lac-Baker. She now rests with her parents, Alfred S. and Bibianne M. (Sirois) Cormier; her daughter, Marie-Paule, who died at birth; two sisters, Alfréda Cormier and Thérèse Breau (Peter) as well as 11 half-brothers and -sisters, Lucie, Jeannette, Léopolde 'Paul', Lionel, Lucien, Edwina, Ludger, Onile, Fernand, René, and Fernande.
The Martin Family received family and friends at the J.B. Côté & Sons Funeral Home in Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 and Friday afternoon from 1: 30 to 4.
Madeleine's funeral took place on Friday afternoon at 4:00, September 13, 2019, at l'Église de Ste-Anne-de-Madawaska, followed by burial in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. Martin was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Ladies of Sainte-Anne.
In her memory, the family requested that donations be made to the Heart Disease Foundation or to the Parkinsons Association.
