Ruth A. Anderson-Coleman, 74, of Upper Deerfield Twp. died on Wednseday, February 4, 2015 at her home under the care of Hospice. Born in Shinnston, WV to the late Irving E. Atha and Myrtle Martin Atha, she was the wife of the late Vernon Coleman. She was also predeceaesed by her first husband, Marvin Anderson. Ruth had resided her present address since 1965 and prior to that had been a resident of Seabrook. Before her retirement she had worked for Cumberland Mutual Fire Insurance Co. for 16 yeas. She had also worked for the Bridgeton Evening News and as a bus driver for Sheppard Bus Service. She was a faithful member of Norma Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son, Eric Anderson of Hopewell Twp.; her daughter, Angela Anderson-Moore of DE; her brother, Irvin W. Atha and his wife Melba of Stow Creek Twp.; her sister, Betty J. Matheny of Upper Deerfield Twp.; six grandchildren, Cody, Autumn, Lindsey, Alyssa, Kaeleigh and Shelbie; a great-granddaugher, Olivia; one stepson, Larry Coleman of DE; a step-daughter, Pamela Sniecinski of DE and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a great grandson, Gio Zahn and a stepson, Gray Coleman.
Funeral servivces will be held at the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, February 7th at 11am. Friends will be reveived from 10 to 11am prior to the services. Burial will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp.
