A requiem Mass for Lupe G. Castaneda, 83, of Harker Heights, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church in Harker Heights, where she was a longtime member. Burial will be in Killeen City Cemetery.
She died May 14, 2008, in her home.
She was born Dec. 28, 1924, in Mercedes. She was a homemaker and contributed to many charities including St. Paul's Ladies of Charity.
Survivors include a son, John Castaneda of Pasco, Wash.; six grandchildren, David, Jaryn and Julia Castaneda of Killeen, Linda Ruiz of Vacaville, Calif., Lisa Castaneda of Kennewick, Wash., and David Castaneda of Tacoma, Wash.; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan T. Castaneda; a son, Joel F. Castaneda; and her parents, Gabriel and Rosa Garces.
