JOHN first married MARY JACKMAN, at Rowley, Massachusetts, on 02 April 1667. MARY birthed 11 children between 11 Feb. 1668 and 17 March 1689. Mary died on Dec, 02, 1689.
Second, JOHN married a widow, MARTHA BURBANK , {nee SMITH}, at Bradford, MA, 03 July 1695. Martha was the daughter of HUGH SMITH. She died at Bradford in 1716.
JOHN 2 HARDY and his wife Mary {JACKMAN} HARDY were original members of the Bradford Church as recorded in 1682. His second wife, Martha {SMITH} BURBANK HARDY was a member of the Bradford Church, 21 Aug. 1698.

He made a will 01 Feb. 1714-5, which was witnessed by FRANCIS WOOSTER, JNO. HUTCHINS and SAMUEL TENNY ad which was proved 17 Feb. 1714-5.
