Sue Aramburo Sims, 66, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at the Sanctuary at Passages.
Born April 12, 1956, in New Orleans, LA.
Sue attended Holy Ghost Catholic School. She went on to complete her studies at Xavier University Preparatory, then earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Xavier University of Louisiana.
Sue began her career at Dillard and Tulane University, working in the Financial Aid Department.
She retired, remaining active as a member of the St. Theresa Little Flower Court #52 chapter of the Ladies Auxiliary; a founding member of the Holy Ghost Church Choir, and enjoyed attending any activity that involved her cheering on the New Orleans Saints.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Mark A. Sims; parents, Alvin N. Sr. and Sophie W. Aramburo.
She is survived by her siblings, Alvin N., Jr. (Karen), Anthony J. Alden G. Aramburo (Jennifer), and Sheryl A. Boudy (Leroy); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial honoring the life of the late
Mrs. Sue Aramburo Sims will be held at Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Church,
2015 Louisiana Ave., New Orleans, LA; on Wednesday, February 08, 2023, at 10 am.
Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery and Mausoleum,
4000 Norman Mayer Ave., New Orleans, LA.
Visitation at 8:30 am in the church.
