Elke Aldrich Anthony, of Havre de Grace, MD, passed away on April 17, 2024. She was 79 years old.
Ms. Anthony was born in Frankfurt, Germany, to Earl Everett Aldrich and Margarete Heil Aldrich. She was the loving mother of Sandra Watkins (James), and Nathan Anthony, Oma of Stephanie Collie (Bobby), Mom Mom of Jaimie Marbry (Hunter), Oma of Cassandra Briggs and Nathan Anthony, Jr., great-grandmother of Maisie, Gray and Ellie Collie, Branson, Paul Reece, Jay Jay, and Bo Marbry, and Mason Briggs.. She was the sister of Evelyn Louise Hodge (James D. Hodge, II), and Eunice Robison.
Ms. Anthony loved animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed bird watching and always ensured her feeders were full, so she had plenty of winged visitors. She was known for her green-thumb, being skilled at growing plants and flowers. She loved sports, reading, crossword puzzles, traveling, and enjoyed many other passions during her lifetime.
A viewing will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024, from 11 AM until 12 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. Funeral services will begin at 12. Interment will be held at Harford Memorial Gardens.
