Mark DelVillano of Endwell

Mark, 48, died unexpectedly Tuesday January 24th at Wilson Hospital due to complications that ensued after suffering from an adverse reaction to anesthesia during routine oral surgery. He was predeceased by his infant son, Steven Adam Thomas DelVillano; his father, Bruno DelVillano Jr; grandparents, Bruno & Sarah DelVillano; grandmother, Ellen Johnson; uncle, Leonard Johnson, and a very special friend, Fran Gennarelli.

Mark is survived by his soul mate of 27 years, Christina (Paccio) DelVillano; his three children, Danielle, Nicole, and Kristopher DelVillano; his mother, Judy DelVillano; his brother & family, Tony, Mary, Michael (godson) & Anthony DelVillano; sister & family, Sondra, Bob, Abby & David Gouldin; his mother & father in law, Carole & Carlo Paccio; his sisters in law & families: Carla Paccio; Claudine, Tony, Kaili, Kade & Ty Kniffen; Candi, Bob, Bobby, Alex, Thomas & Christian (Godson) Lund; Corrine, George, Elena & Ian Edmonds; Cara, Matt & Braeden Green; brother in law & family, Carl Gregory (CG) & Julia Paccio; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mark graduated from Binghamton Central High School and Quinsigmond Community College, Worcester, MA. He worked in retail management for Toys-R-Us and CVS until he left for Nationwide Credit (NCI) where he worked his way up to VP of Operations & Outsourcing.

With his father in law, he ran the Black Cat Golf League for 7+ years as well as many St.Michael's Spaghetti dinners which sometimes featured his famous homemade gnocchi. After cheering on his wife for many years, Mark took up running and completed 2 Disney Half marathons and the Binghamton Bridge Run. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved kayaking and recently discovered a talent for fixing corvettes with his brother in law CG. He was a die-hard NY Giants fan and would often startle his dog Gunner with his celebratory outbursts. He enjoyed watching the games with his children but while they were at school, they kept in constant contact via text.

Mark enjoyed traveling and vacationing with his wife & kids as well as his mother & Fran and the whole Paccio clan. Places they visited included Ocean City Maryland, Disney World, Hawaii, Bermuda, England, Ireland, France, Switzerland and many parts of Italy. A highlight was when he was one of the 18,000 people to attend the 2007 Led Zepplin reunion concert at the O2 Arena in London.

Mark was an excellent cook whether it was family dinners, Christmas crepes or carving the Thanksgiving Turkey.

He will always be remembered for his bright smile. He had a talent for making people feel comfortable and was kind to every person he met. Although his life was cut short, he lived it with no regrets. Mark was a unique individual and will leave a huge void in our lives.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Burial Service on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM in St. Michael's Church with burial immediately following in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY.
