Obituary: DEATH OF MRS. R. A. PERKINS
This morning at the hour of 1 o'clock the spirit of Mrs. R. A. Perkins passed from its tenement of mortality to the happy realms above. She was one of the early settlers of this part of the state, and when Houston was in its infancy she with her husband, the late Samuel J. Perkins, lived on Clear Creek. Only a few days ago one of her daughters, Mrs. Maggie Kirlicks, passed from this life to eternity. There are now other children living to mourn a mother's death, among them Jas. B McKeever [?] and Samuel Perkins, each of whom lives in this city. The funeral will take place from her late residence, 337 San Jacinto Street, tomorrow morning at 7 o'clock, and the remains will be laid to rest in the family burial ground beside those of her husband on Clear Creek. Those who mourn the death of a loving mother have the heartfelt sympathy of many friends.
