Mrs. Barbara Dodd Dead

Mrs. Barbara Dodd died Friday at 3:30 a.m. She was one of the old pioneers and leaves a wide circle of friends here, also in Brush, from where she moved a little over one year ago. Fifteen months ago, she lost a brother, also of Sterling, Mr. William Bennett. Deceased was 91 years of age this month, having been born in Louisville, Ky., in 1825. She is survived by one son, Marion Willyard, six grandchildren, only one lives here, Grant Dodd. She leaves also several nephews and nieces, one of whom she resided with when she passed away. she has been a cripple for two years. having fallen and broken her hip. her many friends are grieved to lose her, but we hope she has gone to a better world, where loved ones are waiting for her. Funeral services were held at Mrs. Simpson's, 202 Platte Street, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.

She married Amariah Dodd March 7, 1858, in Brownville, Nebraska
