Mrs. Charles Barton, of Williamsburg, formerly of Jellico, passed away Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Jellico Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2:30 at Ellison's Funeral Home in Williamsburg. The Rev. Robert Wallace, Pastor of the Williamsburg Methodist Church, conducted the service. Interment was in Jellico Cemetery. Survivors: one daughter, Mrs. O. H. Nicholson; four sons, Harold Barton, Williamsburg, Paul, Detroit, Robert, Knoxville, Charles, Oak Ridge; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Barton was the daughter of Rev. Dodson Shields Hodsdin and Mary McBath Hodsdin. Rev. Hodsdin was at one time pastor of the Jellico Methodist Church, around 1893. Mrs. Barton had been making her home with Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Nicholson in Williamsburg for the past several months. Her husband passed away some twelve years ago.
