She was a wonderful caring and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was always putting other people before herself. She graduated from Cumberland County High School and then worked her way through Andrew Johnson Business College in Nashville. She used those skills to further her education at Tennessee Weslyan College. She taught school at Rockford Elementary School for 18 years. She loved teaching and loved children. She was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church where she was an active member until shortly before her death. Even in her last days, she continued to think of others.
She is survived by her son, William (Bill) Anderson; son and daughter-in-law, J. C. and Beverly Anderson all of Rockford and her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Daniel Holder of Cleveland, TN. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and spouses, Tammi and Billy Pickett, Heather and Jeremy Snow all of Maryville, Mark Holder of Cleveland, Jennifer and Jermiah Pritchard of Benton. She also leaves 6 great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Laurel Snow, Zachary Holder, Jennah, McKennah, and Mia Pritchard. She is survived by brothers, Garland Brown and Mitchell Brown and sister, Thelma Woody all of Crossville. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville.
