In memory a special man
His heart so full of love
The Lord decided to take him home
To Heaven up above
Chris will never leave us, though
His memorial will remain
You know that he would hate to see
All the tears and all the pain.
He was oh, so many different things
To each of us, a special man,
A son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, a friend
Or a huge Dale Earnhardt fan.
He loved his Harley and rode with pride
It was his pride and joy
But the thing that should be remembered most
Was the love for his little boy.
Preston was more than Chris' pride and joy
He was more than just a son
He was everything that made Chris whole.
He felt that in this game of life, he had finally won.
Chris was more than just a father to him
He was a daddy through and through
And Chris' spirit will never end
If you take a look at Preston, you'll always see Chris too.
So if you can, wipe away the tears
Chris would want it that way
And know that he is looking down smiling
On all of us today.
