Arrived in Tuolumne County from Galena, Illinois during 1851-1852 with her parents Edmund(a gardener)and Mary Parnell. She married Joseph Aldridge about 1858 after her father had passed away and she had turned 16 years of age. The Aldridges produced as many as eight children before Ruth suffered a stroke and died at their home in Green Springs. William H. Field of the Keystone House lived with the Aldridge family in the early 1870s. The C.H. Burden Undertaking Co. performed services under burial license #332.
