Gwendolyn R. Hinkle 83, of Knightstown, IN passed away March 12, 2005 at Hancock Memorial Hospital.

Born July 24, 1921 in Henry County, IN she was the daughter of the late Omar E. & Audrey Hoppes Riley. She married Lowell K. Hinkle in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1981. She retired in 1976 from Guide Lamp in Anderson, IN. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and Alter Society in Knightstown.

Survivors include one daughter Jana (Mrs. Joseph) Knott of Straughn, IN; two sisters Helen (Mrs. Dale) Sipes of Greenfield, IN and Phyllis (Mrs. John) Graybiel of Shreveport, LA; Nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one daughter, two brothers and three sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday March 16, 2005 at St. Rose Catholic Church in Knightstown with Rev. Bill Ehalt officiating. Burial will follow at the Mechanicsburg, IN Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday March 15, 2004 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with the rosary recited at 7:30 PM at Todd Funeral Home Butcher Chapel in Knightstown.

In leiu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Heart Association.
