son of Everett Hansford and Pearl Armstrong Beall
There is a cenotaph for Bentone ( not Benton) Wilson Beall in the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in the Philippines. The Navy lists him as Bentone. Otherwise the home town and name of parents match up. Memorial ID 56786822
·Before the was he was on the USS Isabel PY-10 in China. The Isabel was at Cavite Bay in the Philippines when the Japanese invaded . She escorted US submarines through the minefields of Corregidor. She next escorted ships to the Far East, and was ordered from Java to Australia in Feb 1942. Benton is on the muster rolls as the ship departed Java. ( I am not able to find out where he was after that I think his real date of death is March 1942 as indicated in records for Benton, not Bentone Beall) ). The Isabel remained in Australia for the duration of the war, training other ships.
In June 18th 1932 in Almeda , California he married Virgil (sic) Clark.
