Ebenezer was the son of Ephraim Tinkham and Mary Browne (Mayflower Passenger) and he married Elizabeth Borroughs. He was one of the early settlers of Middleborough. During King Phillip's War they returned to Plymouth. After the War three of their sons returned to Middleborough to rebuild the town. Ebenezer was a Selectman and Constable and town Treasurer in Middleborough. Ebenezer and his wife were organizers in the First Church of Christ in Middleborough. He and his wife died on the same day during the smallpox epidemic.
