A cerebral hemorrhage caused the death at 3:45 p.m. Thursday of Charles William Boyer, 81, well known Armstrong County farmer in his home, Shelocta, RD. He was born June 3, 1857 and followed farmer during all of his active years. He was a member of Mount Union Lutheran Church.
Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Lottie Blystone of Ford City, RD; Mrs. Ida Shaffer of Kelly Station, RD; and Mrs. James O. Blystone of Kittanning, RD; a son, Emmett Boyer of Elderton; 26 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted in Mount Union Lutheran Church at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, in charge of the Rev. Robert Richeter. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends are being received in his late residence.
