A native of Chickasaw County, he lived in Okolona for 25 years and was an employee of North Mississippi Medical Center. He was a Nazarene and enjoyed the outdoors and gardening.
Memorial services were held Saturday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. David Brent officiating.
Suvivors include his mother, Clara Blansett of Okolona; three sisters, Linda Lewis and Gayla Blansett, both of Okolona and Maggie Lucious of Derma; three brothers, James Blansett of Okolona, Ruben Blansett and John Wayne Blansett, both of London, Ky.; his grandmother, Jennie Woodall of Okolona, two nephews, Randy Blansett and Austin Blansett, both of Okolona and niece Laren Blansett of Mooreville.
Memorials may be made to the Whispering Pines Hospice at 1480 Raymond Road, Jackson, MS 39204.
