Noy Lee was dedicated to her family, church, and community. As her parents did for her, Noy Lee instilled in her daughters the importance of family, respect and understanding of other people, and the value of a good education.

Through the years, she served her church in a variety of ways....teaching in Training Union for the youth, and leading the Candlelighters (a volunteer group that visits and ministers to shut-in members), as well as participating in Missionary Circle, Sunday School, and Young at Heart.

Noy Lee was a dedicated promoter of the American Cancer Society's Make Today Count, Hospice of Lake Cumberland, and the annual Cancer Relay for Life.

She also supported the development of cultural events in the community. She loved to perform, embellish and demonstrate her tales, to extend a good joke, and to turn an ordinary story into drama.

Noy Lee resided at the Highlands Senior Living Facility for 3 1/2 years. With her love of people, she became the unofficial 'greeter', sitting in the front parlor waving, saying hello, and calling many by name. Noy Lee lived her life with fullness, with a consistent positive attitude, with laughter and love for others. In all that she undertook, she worked with commitment, with thorough attention to detail, and with focus and intensity. Somerset has lost a unique woman.
