Morgan died May 29, 2008 in Gallup. He was born Sept. 3, 1935 in Crownpoint into the Sleeping Rock People Clan for the Water Flows Together People Clan.
Morgan graduated from Wingate High School and was employed by the BIA Branch of Land Operations and Crownpoint IHS. His hobbies included woodwork, listening to his AM radio and being with family members.
Survivors include his son Dennis Paul Morgan of Albuquerque; daughter Doraine Morgan of Crownpoint; father Cecil Morgan; brothers Robert C. Morgan, Simon P. Morgan, both of Los Lunas, James M. Morgan of Fort Defiance; sisters Laura M. Morgan, Selma M. Hale, Janice M. Teller, Jean M. Johnson, all of Crownpoint, Gladys E. Charlie of Kirtland, Anita M. Richardson of Placitas, N.M. and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lillian M. Morgan.
Pallbearers will be Colby Charlie, Michael Hale, Beau Morgan, Dennis Morgan, Tyson Hudson and Wes Morgan.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the Parrish Hall in Crownpoint, following services.
