Frank Wright Noxon, Writer-Economist, Is Buried in Virginia
Frank Wright Noxon, 72, native of Syracuse and widely-known author, journalist and economist, died Tuesday at Circle Terrace Hospital, Alexandria, Va. Funeral serves were to be held in Alexandria today.
Mr. Noxon, son of United States Commissioner Ben Davis Noxon and Mrs. Noxon and former reporter on the Syracuse Herald, was graduated from Syracuse University in 1894.
During his newspaper career, he was dramatic critic for the Boston Record, managing director for the Providence News, the Boston Republican, and the Boston Herald.
An elder of the First Presbyterian Church, Alexandria, he was a delegate to the International Railway congress in London in 1925 and in Madrid in 1930, secretary of the Railway Business Association from 1908 to 1932 and a member of the Conference of Statisticians in Industry of the National Industrial Conference Board. He had been president of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce.
