A life long Republican, former member of West Greenwich Town Council, town sergeant. He was a State Representative 1888-89. Was a wood and lumber dealer. He was the son of Samuel and Julia (Hall). Survived by wife Evangeline, five sons: Daniel, Thurston and John I. of West Greenwich, Dexter of Anthony and James G. of Quidnick, daughter Mildred (Mrs. Olland Parker), one brother Almon Albro., 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Died at his home on Nooseneck road.
