Henry L. Howard, 42 years old a resident of Nodaway County all of his life with the exception of one year, died this morning at 5:30 o'clock at his home, 4 miles North of Maryville, after a two days illness of kidney trouble. Mr. Howard was born and reared on the farm where he died. He is survived by his wife and five children, Mrs. Clint Buckalew, living near Burlington Junction, and Frank, Bernice, Edith and Mary, all living at home. Other surviving relatives are his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Ben Howard of Maryville, three sisters, Mrs. Mose Hahn of Maryville, Mrs. J. B. Pride, Edmond, Okla., and Mrs. John Mathold of Hydro, Okla., and three brothers, Albert Howard of this city, Harry Howard of Amarillo, Tex., and C. M. Howard of St. Joseph.
Funeral services for Henry L. Howard, who died yesterday morning at his home, 4 miles North of Maryville, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock conducted by Rev. G. S. Cox at the First Methodist Church. Burial will be in Miriam Cemetery. A brother C. M. Howard of St. Joseph, is here for the funeral, and another brother, Harry Howard of Amarillo, Texas, and a sister Mrs. J. B. Pride of Hydro Okla., are expected tomorrow.
