LENNIE SIMPSON
Lennie Simpson, 80, of 213 N Division, Du Quoin deid at 12:04 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 1983, at her home.
Mrs Simpson was a homemaker and a three year resident of Du Quoin after living 30 years in Gary, Ind. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Du Quoin and of the Gold Plate Program.
She was born Aug 17, 1902 in Williamson County to James and Dora Maneese Lannom. She married James C Crites in Marion and then married Roy G Simpson on Dec 28, 1947, in Marion. He died on Nov 6, 1978.
Survivors include a son, Larry Crites of Du Quoin; two sisters, Clara Hogg and Dora Ellen Dunn and a brother, John Lannom, all of Marion, and three grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sugar Grove cemetery at Chrisman.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday at the Maxton Funeral HOme in Du Quoin and from 1 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at the church.
