In 1880, Godfried and family lived next door to Adolph Westmeyer family. Godfreid's son Sebastian married Adolph's daughter Henrietta.

Godfried Heidenfelder died at his home in north Pacific, Tuesday, April 11, 1916, after a lingering illness from pheumonis, at the advanced age of 75 years.
He was born near Weisenfield, Germany, and came to this country when quite young.
He was married to Miss Mary Netscher in St. Louis and soon after came to Pacific where they have since made their home. The good wife died last January.
Most of his life he spent working for the Mo. P. railroad at this place.
He is survived by two sons, Joe and Louis, Mrs. Albert Ebert, Mrs. Charles Schaeffer and Mrs. Robert McCassland, and ten grandchildren, besides a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted in St. Bridgets church Thursday and interment was in the Catholic cemetery.
The children have the sympathy of the community in their hour of sorrow.
